Eaten here twice, both times breakfast outside, great service, attentive staff and food comes out quickly. Food all tasty and pleasing, one thing if I'm being really picky - I ordered breakfast tea and it was brought out as a cup of hot water and a tea bag (not tea pigs as advertised) on the saucer.. Pour the water from a height straight onto the tea bag and bring milk on the side. Reason being my tea didn't brew sufficiently and was a little disappointing.. Just some constructive criticism because I really like this place and look forward to trying the pizzas, I'VE HEARD THEYRE GOOD! 5

I have been here twice now and each time the food gets tastier, the service is unbelievable and so friendly, I'm a food snob and don't usually like the way cafes do eggs but these guys are perfect, orange yolk and super runny, I live in southsea so if I'm willing to come out of town for a breaky then you know it's decent. Thanks guys

Won a voucher so went here for breakfast. Very nice, really tasty especially the scrambled eggs. Would highly recommend.

Suggest you book if you don't want to be disappointed. Lovely staff the atmosphere feels like.your in Italy. Chatting and eating in a nice environment. The coffee tastes good before you take a sip as the smell is delicious. My homemade soup was full of flavour. The pizza was too much for lunch. A box was supplied I'm sure Janet enjoyed that too. And a very reasonable price too. Will definitely be trying a Friday or Saturday night.

We love Bar Aroma; just knowing we’ll be there lifts our spirits, whether it’s for our morning coffee or a breakfast of excellent proportions and flavour. Everything is delicious with an Italian flair: the coffee, the quality of the desserts, the seasoning of the food, and you can even find Italian products if that’s your thing. What we enjoy most is the good energy from the staff—they make us feel welcome and at home. They’re the kind of team that motivates you to come back; they remember your name, what you like and what you don’t. It’s clear they do everything with love and passion, and that’s always appreciated when receiving good service. They’re pet-friendly, organise activities with local artists, and you can also book them for important events like Christmas dinner. There are lovely details all around the place, and there are extra services that are much appreciated, like a place to hang your coat and self-service water. The atmosphere is visually pleasing, with photos and touches of Italy. They sell alcohol too :) after all, it’s a bar, hehe. We’re so happy to have places like this in Portsmouth.

Lovely cafe / bar! Met a friend for brunch and the food was lovely (mushrooms on sourdough, lots of garlic which I'm a big fan of). The oat milk latte was perfect and also the iced tea. Great atmosphere and my friend and I didn't feel rushed at all - even though we stayed chatting for two hours!!

Lovely little family run eatery, Italian style. Delicious food and drink served by lovely, friendly staff. One of the best hot chocolates I have ever tasted. Certainly not a milky milkshake, very thick ice-cream creation.

Had to get my car window fixed at auto glass, Portsmouth. A short walk away was Cafe Aroma. It was fantastic. Lovely coffee and a lovely eggs Benedict. Really top notch place.
